News received by Torris Straits mail whicli has arrived at Brisbane, states that full detailed instructions have been sent by Madras mail from the Home Government to the Go-vernor-General of India to send a military force to occupy Egypt in event of certain contingencies occurring. Sir Mel vill Chamberlain is offered the command of the expedition. , Chinese emigration to Queensland is expected to decrease greatly owing to the opening ot the tea season.
