SA T RUD AY, JUNE 16, 1877.
Our telegrams of last nighb are of more than usual interest. Firsb of all we learn that England is making preparations for the military occupation of -Egypt under certain contingencies, from India, and secondly that English capital, uniting with Waikato estate holders, is makinopreparations for the agricultural occupation of the Waikato. The programme of the proposed Company is certainly an attractive one, and if it can be broughb.to a successfull issue, will bridge, not only the Waikato river, but the next quarter of a century as far,; as the progress of Waikato is concerned. We prefer, however, to wait the receipt of the copy of the " Star" containing tbe lotter itselfjybefore entering further on the subject.
