Messrs Wright and Vincent, ,the enterprising proprietors, have been engaged for a long time past on the necessary work and the erection of machinery, which lias all been made m Auckland from designs by Mr Wright. On visiting the works we were courteously received by Mr Wright, who took U8 first into the mill-shed, a building 26ft square, situated clos« to a hill of clay formation, which we were assured, contained an inexhaustible supply of the finest clay to be obtained m the provincial district of Auckland. The machine runs the tilesen to tables with revolving rollers, where, by a simple but an ingenious method, they are cut into the. proper lengths by wire. In this shed also is the potter's wheel, which -our /space forbid* us
