[l] Lord Thoresby (14856) was by the Duke of Gloucester (11382), a Ducbess Bull, the tribe of Shorthorns which mike thousands each when sold either by public or private sale [2] Lord op the Manor, (26714) wa by Baron Ribblesdale (21238, by Second Duke of Wharfdale (19619), a Duchess and Oxford Bull ; his dam by Duke of Gloucester (11383), of same family as three animals sold by auction for nearly £20,000. The dam of Lord of the Manor was late Col, Townley's celebrated Cow Emma, winner cf Ten prizes.
