[l] Lord Thoresby (14856) was by the Duke of Gloucester (11382), a Ducbess Bull, the tribe of Shorthorns which mike thousands each when sold either by public or private sale [2] Lord op the Manor, (26714) wa by Baron Ribblesdale (21238, by Second Duke of Wharfdale (19619), a Duchess and Oxford Bull ; his dam by Duke of Gloucester (11383), of same family as three animals sold by auction for nearly £20,000. The dam of Lord of the Manor was late Col, Townley's celebrated Cow Emma, winner cf Ten prizes. [3] KoxAir Buttbrily 14th (20722) by .Royal Butterfly .(16862) winner of Royal Agriculture of England Society's First Prize at Warwick, and , seytn other Paiz°s at Durham, York, and other Shows; his dam won twenty Prizes and twelve Gold and Silver Medals at various meetings of the Royal English, Irish, North Lancashire, Yorkshire, and other Societies. Royal Butt.erflywaß own brother to Master Butterfly, who won Eirst Prize of Royal Agricultural Society of England's Show at Chelo.s ford, and many otlier Prizes, and nevee was beaten ; and was sold at a high price and seut to Melbourne, shipped by us, per ' Copenhagan,' in 1R57.
