Pricas are lower, and there have been heavy withdrawals. The wheat market is still risiag. There: has been an advance during the month of 25 per cent., mainly owing to American speculation. New Zealand, 643 to 68s. London, April 30. The Turks have commenced the bombardment of Poti, a Russian fortress m the Black Sea above Nikolai. They are also bombarding Anaklia, a nother Russian port, about 30 miles further north. Galatz, the first; point on the Danube occupied by the Russian advance division, is also being »ombarded by the Turks. The Russian troops have occupied. Ismail, a town on the north bank of the river Kilia, and commanding the junction of that river with the main river Danube. The Porte refuse? to recognise the German protection ef Russian subjects. The European Powers have rejected the Porte'a proposal for mediation. Italy remains neutral.
