Waikato Times Office, Friday evening. ALFRED BUCKLAND'S REPORT.
At the Haymarket, on Saturday last the business transacted was nominal; for the stock sold prices were without variation from previous week. At Remuera, on Thursday, all store cattle were yarded. Fat cattle were in less numbers than of late ; 130 head sold, prices ruling last week were well sustained during the greater part of the but fell toward the close 10s per head. Dairy cattle in fair supply, and rather lower values. Sheep were penned in moderate numbers, and met with a dull sale, no improvement on previous low quotations. Pigs, in less quantity than advertised (those from the coa9t not havi; g arrived), and ia demand at fully late values. Prices obtained were : Dairy cows, £5 10s to £lO 10s each ; fit caltie, 20a tu 26a the lOOibs ; fat sheep, 2£d per lb. Averages were :25 head mixe 1 sexes, £8 2s 61, W QualcrougQ ; 29 h«ad, £7 10s 6d, J Raynes ; 8 head, £7, J Watson ; 15 steers, £8 5, A Wallace ; 7 cows, £7 5s ; 3 steers, £9 12* 6d. Johu Fisher ; 19 steers,. £8 15s; 10 cows, £6 12s, John Martin; 28 head, £7 10s, J Foster; 20 head, £6 7* 6rf, U tting ; 300 wettiers, 13s, Mackenzie ; 77 wethers, 13s 6d, John Wallace; 33 lambs, lis 3d each.
