Friday evening. ALFRED BUCKLAND'S REPORT.

At tbe Haymarkefc on Saturday last, theire'was less than the usual muster of horse stock, but most of those offered weie of a useful class. Bidding was dull, and not many sold : Light harness and strong riding horses brought from £10 to £16 ; heayy draught horses, £35 ; small size horses, £5 to £9 each.

At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattlo were m moderate supply ; best animals m demand, those of medium quality at lower values. Store cattle more numerous than -usual, dull of sale, and at lower values. Fat cattie m full supply, 174 head yarded, prices irregular througli T out; on the whole lower 2s the 1001 b. No store sheep penned. ? Fat sheep m usual supply, and lowergiu price ; lambs m moderate numbers, ~anq at late values. Pigs m less than usual numbers, with a steady demand. Prices given were : Dairy cattle, from £7 to £12 7s 6d ; weaned calves, 22a 6d to 42s ; dry cows, 30s to £4 ; choice three-year-old steers £6 5s ; fat cattle , 20s to 27s the 1001 b ; fat aheep, lf<t to 2Jd the lb j fat lamb?, shorn, 7s to 9s each. Alfred Buckland reports : At the Cambridge yards on Tueiday, there was but little business transacted, only 55 -Laad—oLoattl*— wore- yarded, and 20 of tbose were withdrawn from the sale. Prices obtained vyere. for 9 fat cows, 24s the lOOlbs. Two-year old steers, £6 ; heifer calves, £2 10h; 3 springing heifers, £8 eaoh. About 200 young wethers were penned but were not sold.
