TO-DAY'S ELECTION.
Sir,— lt is with pleasure that I 6ee Mr FitzPatrick is goi g to the poll to-day, and that the Major's reign ia over. The ratepayers appear to bavb awakened frt.ni their apathy, and have the st-ute to see that the interests of a Member who goes into the Council for hia owu persona aggrandisement cannot be identical with theirs. Mr Fi'zPatrick, if he has not the ability that Major W ikon's thick and thin fcupportera are willing to give that gentleman credit for, at least, will not use what ability he has, to hoodwink the electors, for his own peitonal as Chairman of the 0.0. In,concluaiou, I hope the electors who have promised to secure the election of Mr Fitz Patrick will roll up, and place him at the hind of the poll.— l am, &&of. f [X.Y.Z.
