Priohabd;'s Settlement.— rMr Firth inquired whether Mr Prichard had paid the purchase money for ;the lands m Waikato for which he had applied for the purpose of a special settlement. The subject then dropped. v : Lands #o,r Settlement at the Thames. — A letter was read from the Chairman of the Thames Connty Couucil asking what extent of land ■m the Thames district was available which could be advantageously set apart for settlement for Thames residents.—The Secretary was instructed to furnish the particulars as follows : — Return of waste lands of the •Crown m the Thames county under the : administration of the Waste Lands Board: Freehold lands— Omahu, 7,056 acres ; 1,880 acres of timbered land m this block have been leased by natives to Europeans, with exclusive rights, for a term of 21 years. Whangacnata, Ho -1, ,8,280 acres;; .2,662 acres of timbered lani m this block ; have been leased by natives to Europeans, with exclusive rights,- for a term of 21 years.
