At the Hayuaarket oh Saturday last, horses were entered m full numbers j they were mostly strong riding stock, , suitable for active- harness. The greater number were sold, but prices were lower for this description of stock than for some time past; one lot of 16 head average ing under £7. - Stronger horses, suitable for f aim purposes, were m request at. good values j and brought from £24 to £30, and a heavy draught mire £50. * Fodder offered m increased quantity, and was-in steady demand, at an advance. Small loads brought from 14a .to 30s ; large loads, 3s to 3s 9J per cwt ; oats, 3a 3d and 3s 4d the bushel j oilcake, 143: the owt ; linseed, 3d lo 3Jd per pound' For the imported Lincoln rams there- waa. but little competition, one animal only was sold at the auction ;f or S5 guineas;, che rest -were withdrawn privately, others were Bold at prices -varying from 40 guineas to 100 guineas. Wool and skina were m usual supply, and steady demanil , at slightly improved values. Lainbswoolj brought 10id and lid per pound .; and a? ohoice parcel of hides '4d per pound. At Remuera ou 'Chursday, .both dairy and -store cattle were m limited numbers and without alteration in -values. Fat cattle' m full supply, 159" head sold. At commencement of tlie auction, prices were higher than last week, but fell loprevious values as the sale proceeded. Prices con- • secmently varied more than usual, but the^ average obtained was about 26s the 100 bs. Store sheep wore more numerous than usual ; they were of a very mixed class, many of them being very inferior, but were fairly competed for at prices equal' to the Fair. Fat sheep were also m full numbers, but generally of a good class, and the advance obtained last week was, sustained; abcXt 7CO so d.
