The annual meeting of ratepayers wasr hsld in accordance with the advertisement on the 22 id. As usual with school meetings, not niiny persons pat la an app -arance, althou b h, about fifty families are re,-resented in the school.
Mr Fetor Kay was called to the chair. The Secretary read a statement of accounts for the past year, and the lata Chairman of cominitt- e read a report of work dene, daring the same term, an/1 spoke iu high terms of the prompt manner in which the late eupuiint-indent responded to his request tor school aocomolation. A voce of .thanks was pa.sed to the late Chairunau, Mr L B 11 arris, for the energy he displayed in gutting the building placed on the reserve and completed. The following persons were then elected to serve ou committee tor the present year .'.—Messrs L H .Harris, W butcher. T V FitzPai;riok, J T Q-iffafcjV. and A J Parks. A vote of thanks to the Chairman concluded the business.
At a meeting of Committee, held immediately after the above: Air L B Harris was re-elected Chairman, and Mr J X Giffney, (Secretary.
