At Bemuera, on Thursday, dairy cows near calving were m less than usual •numbers, and at late values. Excepting a few lots of weaned calves and dry cows, •no store cattle offered ; those, consequent on tbe wet weather, wtre m better inquiry, than last week. Fat cattle m less than usual cumbers ; 117 head penned, i Prices advanced about 2s per lOOlbs. Sheep were also m less than usual numbers, and m better inquiry ; fat wethers 2s per head better worth. Lambs m usual sufply, and at late values. Prices given were: Dairy cows, £7 to £8 ss; dry cows, £4 7a 6d ; weaned calves, 35s to 40a ; fat cattle, 26s to 80s per lOOltn • store ewes, 6i to 9s j fat wethers, 16s to 17s ; fat ewes, 9s to 13a each, or 2± I to ss|<\ per lb ; good Jam be, 8s to 15s each. | Averages: 15 heid cattle, John Fisher,
£9 ss ; 8 steers, A Stewart, £10 2a ; 25 steers^ Wm Sjott, &) 13s each. At tJ.e Hay market, on Friday last, .horse etook were offered m limited numbers, and at late values,- heavy drought brought £37 to £40; medium dranght, £i 9 to £27 10s j light harness, £13 to £19 ; inferior bor.- 69, from £3 10a and upwards. Word m larger quantity lhau cuaomary, with a steady demand at an increased ya ue of per lb. At Drury, on Wednesday, there was the usual muster of oattte, and a numerous a tendanca. Prices were higher than the previous month, aod bidding brisk, throughout the sale. Dairy cowa and heifers nejr calving brought from £5 5* to £$ 10s ; calves, 35s ; -cows, with calves at side, £5 10a to £6 each i fat cows, 25s the lOOlbs.
