Sir Donald McLean died at Napier at half past four this afternoon.

The mail brings news that Sir George Arney is m splendid he .llh, and walked fourteen miles over the hills, although past seventy-three years of age. The trial of Martin Curtin for murder commences on Tnesday. A railway commiasion commences Bitting at Auckland as soon as the gaol inquiry ia concluded.
G-eahamstown. last night. Mrs 'Fisher, daughter of the Rev Mr Warren of Onehunga, fell over +he wharf with an infant m her arms soon after the arrival of the Rotomahana at rd^ht. Both were recovered uninjured.
