Sound hides brought from 3ito 3£. Skins and wool were m less quantity than usual, 'but late values were maintained, dodder was m limited supply, and consequently better inquiry than for several weefes j no large loads offered-; small loads m demand at good values, from 18 to 30s each. Horse stock -were offered m less than usual numbers, and but little business transacted. Gf-ood-look* ing riding horses brought from £10 to £13 ; Btrpng medium draught, 5835 to £40 10a j the buggy advertised, £29. i At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were fairly represented, and m demand. Store cattle m average numbers, with a> good inquiry for well bred calves and, yearlings ; all other descriptions at low values. Fat cattle m -full supply^l4o head sold — prices irregular, but, on the whole, late values sustained. Store sheep m moderate "numbers,- and late values., Fat sheep short of usual supply, and bet-' ter worth Is per 'head. Fat lambs m less numbers than usual, but with no improvement dn -values. 'Calves and pigs m! moderate supply, and late values. -Prices , given were-: — Dairy cows and <calving, \ from £6 to £10 ; well bred calves eight month's old, 35s to 40s j 18 months old steers, £4 17s 6d ; coarse bred yearlings, 40s j two year old steers, 55s to 60s ; ' three year olds, £4 5a each ; dry cows, varied with quality, .from 45s to 82s 6d each ; fat cattle, 25s to 28s the 1001 bs.
