INTERPROVINCIAL PIGEON MATCH.
Th« Hormey wood portion of Ellerslie Gardens was the icene yesterday of a pigeon nutch, arranged fjr firing off for tl c Interprovincial Cup woi* in the pigeon m ,tsh fired some slwrt time ago with tbe Dunedin team. Tlie ralue of the priZJ is 60 soys, which being won by the Aackland team, it was agreed should form the subject of a second match amongst ihe loctl team as to w'jo should, pjss'ss the trophy. By a further arrangement tbe Wailiato Club was allowed to enter the list with the Hatnley Gun Club. The conditions of thj mitch have alreadybeen published, and suffice it to say that the match was shot un ler the Hamley Gun Club rules. Mr VV J Marks acted as umpire ; Mr J Kirk wood M scorer, and Mr J Reid as puller ; the committee of management consisting of Messrs Marks, Kirk wood, T Brown and Perciral. Tbe trapi were tbree in number, and the boundary was tbe fence.
