ALFRED BUCKLAND'S REPORT.
Horses.— Tho sale of howes on Wednesday last was very numerously attended, and brisk competition ruled throughout the sale. Every animal offered was sold. Pi ices varied from £4 to £28, and the average of the whole— £lo. Cattle and Sheep.— At Remnera, on Thursday, not many dairy cattle were offered. Good animals were in steady demand and brought from £7 10s to £11 ; inferior, dull of Bale. Stoic cattle in less numbers than average, with a dull inquiry and lower values. Fat cattle in full supply ; 165 head sold ; demand steady at last week's values— 27s to 30s the 1001 b. Sheep in usual supply with an irregular tale and tendenoy to lower values. Fat lambs unusually numerous ; 500 sold ; prices fell slightly as the sale pioceeded. Pigs scarce, but no better worth. Sheep brought from 24 1 to 2|d tbe lb ; lambs, 7s to 16s each. Averages obtained were : 26 steers, W A Cowan, £9 ; 7 steers, R Seeoombe, £10 5s ; 8 steers, Joseph Scott, £9 10a ; 16 steers, J Rutherford, £9 6s 6d ; 31 head, mixed sexec, Martin, £11 ; 11 steers, Knox, £9 3s ; 10 steew, R J Taylor, £9.
