I am sure you do not require from me protestations or promises to protect and advance the welfare if Waikato, with which, Bince its first settlement, my life end interests have been so intimately interwoven, and I rely with confidence on your giving loyal response to the oall I now make upon you by coming forward, each of you, on the day fixed for tho Election at Cambiidge, on FRIDAY, the 22nd instant, and then and there placing mc at the head of the Poll. One point I may touch upon. I should certainly endeavour — acting always in harmony with other Councils — to obtain a rectification or revision of the boundaries of the several Counties,— Piako, Waikato, Waipa, and Raglan, as at present defined.
