London, December 9. A conference has been held in London nnder the presidency <£ the Duke of Westminister. The Earl of ShafUbnry and many member* of Parliament were present. A thousand delegates, from different parts of the country, were also present. Amongst the speakers was Mr Gladstone. He condemned the ambiguous policy of the English Government, and Raid the nation had a right to expcot it to be more explicit with respect to its intention. He said the English nation wab unanimous against defending Turkey, and urged the cordial oo- operation with Russia, Bulgaria, and other provinces.
