At the day market, oa Friday last, no heavy draught wire sold. Medium dt aught were in fair enquiry ut late rallies, aud brought from £12 to £27 ; riding horsei, £S Jo £16 ; a spnng cart, £2 > ; hoy-rick covers, 25* to 30s ouch ; hides were more than usually and Mi stfarty requeit ut from 3.1 to 3£ the lb ; ea f-slnns, 44 > ; f-kins in full numbers at late ralues ; l.imbikins, 10 1 to 14d each ; pelts 4d ; th ep skins, lOd to 14 1 each ; bays and packages ot wool were eigerlv competed for ; wool in grease brougnt from 8d to lOd ; washed wooli, lOd to 13Jd the lb. Xne wool sale on Tuesday vm fully attended by buyers ; under 590 baJes were pitched, aud the wool generally of a better claw thun on the first occasion. Prices realised raried, for wool in greate, from 7d (o IOJd, and for washed wools 11 J to 15d the lb. The flax market is now fully supplied, and the Hero will not, as hitherto, effect a clearanoe. Prioes obtained in the EngJiih market are not hi^h onough to give more than £15 or £16 per ton fur the bert quality here. It will, therefore, be necessary, for th« greatest care to be taken in the manufacture, for inferior quuliiei will remain untold unless at a serious loss. Tow is also accumulating on hand, a> d will hare to be sod at a price to allow itsu c in the manufacture of piper. Lambs numerous, bnt in demand, and for good an mals extreme prices were obtained. Pigs in moderate supply »<id lower values. Pnc*"* obtained were, dairy cows, £5 5* to £11 2* 6d ; yearlings, 65a to 105 ; calves, 50s ; two- year- olds, £4 las to £6 10s ; dry cows, £3 15s to £5 5a each ; fat cattle, 27s to 30s the lOOlbs ; fat sheep, 2|d to 2|d the lb ; best lambs, 13s to 17» eaoh.
