Coureon's house on the Great North Boad was struck by lightning on Saturday. 1 lie weatherboards burst out n aids and throw the lining- boards into a room on a bed where a cliild was lying, but the occupants eicapod uninjured. Mra Cooper, of iNclsou-strect, »ud Mitt Spiers, of Newton, fell unconscious, and remained bo some hoilrs, but it is supposed from fright. Tolegrami relative to tho fatal occurrence at Queen's Redoubt, shew that Christopher Leal ham, when struck down, was in the open field sixty feel from the mill* When the body was picked up it wus lying on its faoe, tbe arms and hands partially below the body. On his breast the flannel shirt was scorched ; both legs of his trousers were burst open and scorched. Th« fore part of his left whiskers, and some hair on the . same side, wa« burnt.
