CATTLE.
Tho local bred bulls showed up woll. In dairy cjws there was a vory poor show. Messrs Fisher and Co had a 3|>lendid show of store caitle in the fat oxen class, and deservedly received first and second prizes. Whilst all their exhibits weio fine anituuls, tbere wrra two under thr?e year* o'd that muit be acknowledged to be the be^t in the provin c. Although provincially reared, these cattle are originally from Napier. We must not omit to mention that in class 4, for cows in milk, a calf, Lidy Eleanor, of th j Penroso Herds, was justly awarded first prize. Lady Eloanor won Ist pnze at the TauHton Agricultural Show 24'h November, 1871. It will be seen below that Messrs X und E Maclean secured no fewer than 20 pr zes, »nd Messrs T and S Morrin 6.
