An Embarrassment.
At an Hotel in Salt Lake City a man find his wife were stopping. The man was subject to severe attacks of Colic, and was taken sick there in the night. Ho told his wifo he must have immediate relief, or he oould not live, he thought a mustard plaster would relievo him. She hastily robed herself, went down stairs, and spread the mustard from the castor on her handkerchief, and hastened up stairs. Tending the bed-room door ajar, she rushed in, and clapped the preparation on the unconscious man's bowels. fTo instantly •prang up in the bed and a strange voice said. 'My God Madam, What »re you doing?' She had got the wrong man. We leave the reader to imagine her feelings. She found her own room, and in accents of horror told her husband of the facts. The extreme ludicrousnoss of the incident cent him into a strong fit of laughter that relieved him as thoroughly aa the mustard would have done. Very early j next morning, boforo many of the guests wen up, a man, woman, trunk, band-boxes etc, etc, might have been seen leaving the Hotel ; for the wouians name was on the handkerchief.
