The amended Counties Bill was eircu. lated yesterday. The alteration! are that the nninber and deioription of the Counties are left bliuk, to be determined upon in committee. Each. Council m»y determine by resolutions at ita fir«t mooting, th*t part of the Aot sliall not come into force in the Oouoiy, aud the chairman shall forthwith tend a copy of such resolutions t> the Colonial £>eor«Ury. If the Conncil does not paw such a reflation at Its frit meeting, the wholo.of this Act shall be deemed to have como into force in th<* County. If any Counorl determine that the said part '• of the Act ■hall not come into foroe in the Oomutyj then none of the provisions of tbo Aot relating to the following •svbjsete shall have force in the County, vi«. — Mierslisss in ridings and outlying districts, the morning of Road Pistriots, and *»t?ng of thdr asset*, liabilities, and powers in the Connty. The voting qualifications and preparation of electoral rolls for jidiogi and outlying districts, and other provisions in connection with pleot'.ons for ridings and outlying diatriota. Th« qualification of County Chairman, penajties for acting as Councillor when disqualified, and the dates -for' folding eUotions for the County Council. Extra, ordinary business, and the revocation of resolutions, committee &f tbe Council, and proceedings of «uch oommittee, the public offices of the Counoi), and th« attendance of clerks fiurng office 'houra, Ao. The employment of officers, and the holding of office? by members of the Council. The payment of mpneyt, Jlne*; Ac, into the County fund.
