SUNBEAMS.

Oil, hasten, darling, hasten ; Throw wide the cottage door, And let the golden sunbeams Dance lightly o'er the floor. God sends these shining blessings Our humble home to cheer, To tell us by their brightness That he is ever near. Let us guide the tiny feet These golden paths to tread. Then heavea's richest blessings Will crown each little head. For life is full of sorrow, So full of sin and care. That we must try forever To keepsunbeami dancing there, Contentment is my portion, No glittering wealth I own ; I would not give that sunbeam, To share a kingly throne. Then, hasten, darling, hasten Throw wide the cottage door, And let the golden snnbeams Bd,ours till lite is o'er.
