In consequence of tbe immense success which has attended my first Distribution of Prizes on the Melbourne Cup, I have been iuduced, at the solicitation of a large number of my friends, to open a Second L'st at £1 per subscriber. I propose to close tbe No 2 List on Wednesday, Ist November, with whatever number I may have secured, and to divide the amount so subscribed as follows : — First Horse ... 40 per cent. Second Horse 20 „ Third Horse 10 „ Other Starters (divided) 15 „ Non-Starters 15 „ The total amount expected to reach at least £1,000. An early application will oblige. You will please add exchange to cheques, and stamp for reply. Remittances cannot be accopted after Wednesday, Ist November. All prizes will be paid loss 5 per cent, expenses.
