THURSDAY. (From our own Correspondents.) [Per Electric Telegraph.] Alexandra, 5 p.m.
Two cauoos proceeded to Kaipiha againi n to-day with the party who came down last night. The King's people weut through tho Karakia as usual. Your Special attended the service, and acted in a becoming manner. Some of the texts and prayers were very good and vory sensible. The men and women pray alternately, the whole congregation sitting on their haunches, rising however to sing some of the hymms. Tj.wb.iao has had several interviews with Sii* Donald since yesterday. They were, however, of a private nature, but tho reresults are, I am assured, high'y satisfactory. Tawhiao is very desirous to come to a epood understanding with the Government, tie was dressed, as on yesterday, in most pictuiosque costume, of which a black dyed flax mut cansituted the chief pavt. lie is a fino man, but his gait is rather awkward, and ho has a cast in his eye, which gives him a peculiar appearance. Ho was attended by tho same chiefs as before. Tho party returned to Alexandra at about 4 p.in, leaving Bir Donald behind, aa on the previous evening. The meeting to-morrow will be very important.
