* Ma Alfrbd Bucklano's Wbkklt Rkpobt — Fodder. — At the Haymarkot on Friday lait fodder was in much larger supply than of late, with a corresponding demand ; prices varied from 2s Gd to 4s the cwt. Horses were in fully usual numbers, and mostly of a good class, the tendency of prices was to lower values. Medium draught, of good quality, brought from £2G to £31 ; light harness, from JBI4 to £20. Hides and skins were in usual supply ; for hides there ii an improvement in price ; best quality brought 4id per lb. freely ; ■king and wool at late values. Cattle, sheep, &c. — Tho sale held at Mr Rutherford's farm, on Tuesday, was numorously attended, »nd satisfactory prices were obtained. Loagwoolled «wes, 4 and 6-tooth, brought from l£s to 20s ; limbi, 0s each ; dairy cows, £7 to £10 ; young working horaui, £31 to £SS each ; aged horses, Ll3 oaoh. At Remuera, on Thursday, stor« cattle were in better supply than for several markets. There was a numerouß atteudance, *ud better prices obtained than bsvo lately rulod. Fat cattle in less than average numbers; 133 head sold; 'prices advanced 10s per head. Store sheep unusually numerous, with a dull sale, And the greater numberremained unsold. Fat sheep in average numbers ; all sold, but »t lowor values. Fat calves scarce, and at extreme valuer. Pigs in moderates supply. and inroqueit. Prices given were :— lB-months-oldi, L 2 10a to L 3 lOi ; store cowb, L 3 7t 6d to L 4 12s Gd ; two-year-old steers, L 4 to L 5. Fat oattle, 27s 6d to 33e 6d per lOOlbs : store, throo-quarter brod wethers, 12s to 14s ; inferior ewes, 2s 9d to 4s 66. ; lambs, 4s to 10s ; fat wothers, 2Jd ; fat owes, -2±d the lb. Actual averages obtained were : 116 store cattle, mostly cows, J C Firth, Ld> each ; 74 fat oattle, mixod sexes, Andrew Haitie, L 9; 9 htad, Findlay and Son, LS 16s ; 32 head, Hugh Knox, LS 123 3d ; 100 threo-quarter bred wotbors, F Hicks, 15s 9d ; 445 longwoolled wethors, William Bailly, 16s; 100 k fat cross-bred ewes, 10s each.
