Owing probably to our Auckland correspondent not being thoroughly acquainted with the topography of the Waikato district, a very imperfect list of the Waikato lands sold on Wednesday at the Supreme Court House, Auckland, vras forwarded to us thrit evening by telegraph. Tltis is to be regretted, as there was much local interest token in the matter, as indeed we knew there would be. It will be seen that lots 78 and 79, of the parish of Te Kapa, ' comprising the public firewood bushes, against the sale of which so strong a pioteet was made by the people of Waikato, were not oftered, hating been withdrawn in deference to the expression of public opinion on the matter.
