HAMILTON PUBLIC HALL SPECULATION.
Sie,— T tee that Mr Lt Qttfine and " One of the Jleneral Public" hare noticed my letter anent the Vaotion of * public hull in Hamilton, and I am glad indeed to hear that Hamilton " East" is to be to admirably proridad (or, btcaus* the building referred to is undoubtedly a me one. But, sir, that hall will be practically of Kttl« use to the large population on the Wtst side of the rirer, si jou cannot indtce ptople to cro»s the punt at nighi time if they can help it. With a bridge the thing would be different ; but m it is, I still aay that a public hall is a necessity in Hamilton West, and I tee uothing to prevent its being built, if, aa you, sir, say £250 has been subscribed already. " One of the General Public™ tries to be a little sarcastic towards the finish of his letter auggtstin; that several halls should be ■«rected inHatniUon. Bat the thing seems to me plain enough, and I say if Hamilton East cau do with a public hall, how muoh the more it such a tking requited by the tnoch larger population -on the Weit side.— l am, &c, Stan Mah Who Had to Go Hour. flamiltom West; April 17, 1876.
