The Chairman slated that the object for which they had met together, which was principally for framing rails for the gnid ance of th© society and and forming a Committee to arrange matters connected with the Annual Shows The following resolutions Wars agreed i ►o j — That the Society be called ttie Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association. That, tlie objects of the Society be the advancement of agricultural and pastoral interests 3 for the holding of shows of lire ■>tock, iinplimeiits of husbandry, and farm produce. That IIi<? Eicjeltoncy the Governor be requested to becooie patron of the Association. That payment of ten guineas constitute i life membership. That the minutes of each meeting be ■ ntored in a miuute book, and all records iif the Society be taken care of. That the report and abstract of pfoeedings up to the 31st March, signed bj he Auditors and Treasurer shall be sub•nitted to theannual meeting ol the Society. That the Presidentaud Viee-Presideut shall lave power to convene special meeting? of ,he Society on a requisition signed by at least h'\e member* of the committp. That a special meeting be called by the >cjretary on the requisition of 15 memjers of tha Aisociatioa. That fourteen days' notice shall be jjivou in the local paper stating the object >{ the meeting, and that no other business be transacted than that stated in the advertisement. That the Shows of the Society be held in every year in or about Ohaupo. That the Secretary be instructed to apply to the Turf Club and ascertain the tpnni on which they will permit the Shows )i' the Association to be held on the course ; ihe Secrot jry to report at a previous meeting.
