Auckland Cattle Market.

Mr Alfred Buckland reports u follows :— At the Haymarket, this day, fodder wa« in usual supply, of indifferent -quality, and dull of tale. Meadow hay, Is 6d and Us 6d ; oaten, 2s to 3s 9d the cwt ; oats, 2* 6d the bmhol ; oocksfoot grass seed, la to Os ; rye grasi r 6t 9d the bushel ; chaff, 3* 6d the owt. Horses of a a good olass more than usually numerous ; sales were steady at satisfactory prices ; medium draught unbroken colts brought irons £1* to £28 ; heavy draught, £30 to £50 ; riding and light horses, £4 to £15 each. Hides were in lets than usual supply, and brought 4s 6d ; calf skins, 5d the lb ; sheep skins, Is 5d to 2s 6d each ; lamb's wool, Sid to lOd the lb. At the Papukura sale, on Wednesday, there were about 306 head of cattle sold, and, with one exception of dairy cows, they wer» a shade lower in value. At tho Remuera yards, on Thursday, dairy oows were soiree and at extreme values ; store cattle plentiful, aud steers of a pood oUss maintained previous prices, but cows iv bad condition sold low. Less than the average number of fat cattle were yarded, and maintained late vnlin 6 j 110 head sold. Sheep offred in limited numbers only, and were very dvll of pale. I'ai'-y cows brought from £8 to £14 ; eighteen n.onths old stoera, from £3 7s 6d to £4 ; two to three year-old si*ers, from £4 7s 6d to £6 10a ; dry cows. £2 15s to £8 12 a 0d fat cattle, £25s to 30a the 100 lbi ,
