Auckland, Wednesday erening-. Charles S George was admitted as solicitor and barrister in the Supreme Court to-day. Application fora new trial in the case of the executors of Rutlor v owners of the Rowena was refused. A woman gave birth to a boy on the pavement in Fort,atreet this morning. Ihe child is dead. The mother was removed to the hospital. She is a disreputable character, and well known to the police.
Wellingtov. Mr Fitzherbert said he wa.s quite oonßdant there would be a change of ministry next session. One of his close connec-
