■The >ala held by Mr Alfred Bucklaud at Ohaupo continues to attract attention from all parti of the Waikato. Yeiterday we were agreeably surprised to find so large a muster of itock of all descriptions offered for competition ; but the attendance wsi equal to the stock offered, and with tho exception of the class of horses — whioh erery one wishes to He'll and few to buy — nothing was withdrawn of cattle. There were 170 hoad penned, many of them oowg, and mostly well grown. Cattle from two to four 3 ear-old in fresh condition; prices giren were equal to the quotation* obtained at Newmarket, The sheep penned were about 1500, principally full-mouthed ewes, many of them in low condition. Bidding for tliose was at first slow, and 'the earlier pens were the cheapest purchased ; as the sale proceeded prices rose, and all were quiokly disposed of at prioos varying from one to three shillings higher than similar shtep in the Auckland market. The prises obtained were : Yearling to eighteen months heifers. 50§ ; grown heifers and dry cows, £3 2» 6d to £6 j cows with calves at side, £3 5a to £9 ; 18 months steers, £3 17a 6d ; two-jear-old steers, £4 10* to £5 5s ; three and four-year-old gteers, £6 10* to £7 7s 6d eaoL Aged long wooled ewes of a good class, bulßn low condition, 14s to 17t 6d ; half-bred ewes, in good condition, 12s to 10s, low condition, from 7s 6d ; lambs, mixed sizes, 8s to 10s 6d each.
