Tauranga, Wednesday night. The murderers of Petera hare escaped, and are now safely dwelling under the protection of Maori law, more supreme apparently than the British law. Thii is an awful state of things. Since the escape became known, a natire meeting was held' last Week at the Rangiwaea settlement, "where the chief assented for the Queen's warrant to be issued, which was hitherto held in abeyance.
