Sib,— l see-by yonr paper that you have caught a real lire barber and got him in a shop in Hamilton, but surely you don't mean to keep him there! We must hare no monopoly of this kind on the part of Hamilton. It monopolises enough akeady *hat is .ornamental without holding last to the useful alto. You must let your 'barber travel. The Hamilton heads may be , unkempt and the Hamilton beards unshorn, but there are as heavy crops of wool and as fine crops of chin bristlts in other parts of the dis trict quite as muoh needing the* attention of the barber. Yonmutn't keep him in Hamilton altogether or starve him. Let him announce once a week his intention of visiting first one tettlement and then another on auob a day, and I warrant me he'll find -plenty of custom when he comes, and if ho called in at the settlers, homes on hit walk up he would more than make travelling expenses. If however, a barber is to make a good thing of it in Waikato, and he ought to do to, he will have to go " bobbing around," making Hamilton if he likes his head quarter*, and he must be reasonable in his charges. Having 'had no professional here for ytars, there are plenty of amateur hair-cutters, and theae will bejuit as m\xok applied to as ever if, at I am told a shilling is charged for a few minutes clipping with the tbitnors.
