THE PIGEON MATCH. HAMLEY V WAIKATO GUN CLUR.
AiTHOUQ* the weather was threatening*, there was a fair master of person's* present^ yesterday afternoon, at Mr Cla&de's farm, Hamilton, lo wituess the great pigeon match of the season. As only seveti instead of eight of the Hamley Gan Club were able to attend, one member was dropped from the Waikato team. The shooting commenced at two p.m. The day was good for shooting, there being neither san nor wind, and the pigeotis rose rery much as if they were rather i n ctined to become the future occupants of & pie than that they had any wish to return unharmed to their own cote, one indeed, after being twice fired at and very slightly, if at all wounded, flying right into reach of the shootest who knocked him, down with the butt end of his gun.
