NGARUAWAHIA.
The Annual meeting of the members and supporters of the Church of England, took place on Friday last, the 4th instant. The Rev Mr Calder occupied tho chair. Mr James Hume read the financial statement which was approved of by the meeting. W N Searancke, Eaq, \ras then re-ap-pointed Minister's Churchwarden, and Messrs Giffuey and Willoughby were elected by the parishioners. The following resolutions were passed nem con -.. — *' That the thanks of the congregation are due to Mrs Searancke for her constant attendance at the harmonium, also to Mr Willoughby for his perseverance with the choir, and for bringing it into its present efficient state." " That this congregation return their hearty thanks to Mr James Hume for his unremitting attention to his duties as Churchwarden for many years, and express tbeir regret at his leaving this parish." " That the thanks of tho residents generally are due to Mr G Edgecumbo for his almost unaided management and teaching of the Sunday School." A vote of thanks to the Revd. chairman concluded the business. — Own Correspondent.
