WAITOA SCHOOL ELECTION,
The Annual Meeting of the householders iv the Waitoa district, was hold on Saturday IftBt,ia jtbe store of Messrs How bray and Ev*ns, in accordance with the regulations of the Central Board of Education, for tho ,electiou of a Committee ior the year 1876. ( Proposed' by Mr Tiokleponuy and seconded by Mr Walker: "Th.it the Committee consist of members as follows • — Messrs Walker, Chepwell, Ticklepenny, Mowbray, and Cochrane.' 7 — Cariied. Mr TickK'penny mentioned that Mr Mo: rni had offered a gift of an aeic of land near tho Wuitalairuru Bridge, and a building 1 Buitablu for a school, piovided that the 13«ard boie the expeuse at tieight and ie-orecbioii. A vote of thanks to Mr Moiu'in for his offer was carried, and the matter refened to the School Committee. A feubscuptiou li^rt to defray the cost of a Bchool building was opened in the room.
