The tirst annual meeting of the ratepayers of the new educational district of Hautapu was held at the residence of Mr J H Smith, Hautapu, on Thurs lay last, the 27th instant. h,e following ntepayers wore elected a committee tor the ensuing year :— J H Smith, VV B .Morgan, James Kunciman, John Marty n, jun,, and John Siiaw.
