CAMBRIDGE.

January 24, 1876. The weather still continues to be wet and boisterous ; fierce thunder showers are continually passing over us ; all oat-door work is at a standstill. It is a most extraordinary season, — there have not been, ten consecutive fine days since September* There is still a very large quantity of hay lying out itt the rain, and it is fast •getting blick and rotten. Many also who were lucky enough to stack their hay have been, prevented from thatching it. Thus it will be seen, that if we do not soon get som« fine weather the consequences will be very serious indeedThe animal meeting of ratepayers for the educational district of Gambridge waa held at the schoolroom on Saturday last ; the attendance was good. The following were elected a committee for the ensuing year : — Messrs. Houghton, Tuck, Brooks, Athol and McVeagh. Siace the flood Saturday is getting to be a very dull day hero, everyone hurries off to be home before dark— corroilary-— very little news. — Own Correspondent.
