On New Years Day tlio children of tlio Wrulojan Sunday School were entertained by their teaohori «nd frionds at Mr Sharp's gardom. They n cmbled tit 11 am, when refreshments consisting of buns, sandwichoa, ginger boor and lollies vrure banded round. Thoso prosent thon put them thiongh a series of amuioments, swinging, running for prizoi, and variom round gu'HCH, in winch they all leemed to thoroughly enjoy thooifo Vfs. A*. 3 pin thoy assembled in a large riug and partook of a sumptioiis tea. Tlio various games wore thon continued till sunnel, whon they disper»od all delighted with thoir day* outing. There wore upwards of 150 children prosont, During the day many visitors and frionds put in an appoaranoo and wcio pntertainod in a Marqueo orcctcd for tlio ()urpoeo. I understand that about £30 was collected by the lady teaohem to defray tlm exponaos of tho picnic and to procuro prizes for tlio children, and additional books for tho library. On Sunday, ipecial services in connection were hold. Tho Rev Mr Smith preached morning and evening, hit lernuni having upociul roforenco to the children. Tho offertory on both oecusions will ulno be derotcd to tho ichool fund In tlio afternoon tho cliildron n->sombled to reef ivo their prizes and gifU, which consisted of numerous woll ioloctod books each child receiving a prizo or prosont of soino kind. Although tho afternoon was wot, there was no vacant place, the o'mpe) bring full to overfljwing.
