The attention of breeders is particularly drawn to this horse's pedigree, his sire being the celebrated Prince Charlie, a horae that was never beaten, no matter how good the company.

As a two year old, he gained Hist prize a*t Castlemaine, first at Kypeton, second ; «ab" Smeaton, fiiat at Daylesfor'd, and second at Bacchus Marsh, A* a three year old he gained first prize at Bendigo, second at Smeatou, first at Kyneton, and liret at Dalesford, Sire Old Prince Charley, imported ; Dam, Blossom. Prince Charlie was -exhibited seven times before leaving Scotland 'for Victoria, and gained seven first prizes, including the Highland Agricultural Society's Show at G-lsgow, iv 1859, competing against thiriy others. 'In "Victoria, Prince Charlie gained a great number of prizes, including tbe PorVPhilip Farmerfe Challenge Cup, value ILBO, in 1839, IS6O, and 1862; grandsire, Farmer. Blossom, dam of Baron of Olyde, by Lothian Tarn, imported, was exhibited five times, i and gained four first prizes and ono second prize; first prite at Castlemaine, second at Smeaton, first at Smeaton the following -year, and two fir*t>: •pfiseiat Dajleeford.
