RESIDENT MAGISTRATES' COURT.

At the sitting of the Court on Friiav at, before W N Searancke, Eaq, and Major Mair, the following cases were disposed of ;— S Bright vTe Kerei, claim £11 10s, judgment for £6 15s 6d. C S McCullum v S and Matilda Morgan, claim £3 10s, value of a calf, and £3 3s for expenses incurred, plaintiff accepted a nonsuit. Letitia Garmonsway v J D Bdwards, claim £20 for illegal removal of timber, judgment for plaintiff for £4 and costs. In the above cases Mr Madden appeared for plaintiffs. Takua v Hubert, Claim £13, for damages sustained by the tresspas of defendant's cattle, judgment' for £6 10s and costs. A counterclaim was withdrawn. On Saturday before Major Mair, in the case of J Conn v J Scott, claim £1 10s, value of a shawl detained by defendant, judgment was given for plaintiff, for whom Mr Madden appeared.
