The discussion on the Abolition Bill, in committee is continued. Sir George (irey"s amendment on the Bill, to abolish goKl duty, was negatived by 39 to 32. An amendment by Mr Reeves for payment of one-fourth of the Land Revenue to R tad Boards was also negatived by 31 to 14. The motion evoked considerable usjussiou on the amendment regarding auance.
