Cambridge R M Court. — W N Searan. ke, Esq, X M, held a sitting of the R M. Court ut Cambridge yesterday, when owveral caf^a were heard. George McCann charged Ellen Mi' Cann, hid wife, with having assaulted him. Mr Madden appeared for the cocuphinant and Mr Whifcakcr for the defending . The c»»e was dismissed with costs, £2 9a 6d. There wa» a cro9»-summ..»ni for assault, in which the earns counsel appeared, judgment being reserved until to-day, in order \o enable McCann to giro evidence. On the civit •ide, in J Parker t> J Runciman, Mr Madden appeared for the plaiotiif, and Mr Hay for defend* ant. The claim was fur £11 15» hire of a mare. The plaintiff deposed that defendant had entered into a certain undertaking in confederation of having the use of the mare. Mr Hay contended ihifc the particulars shewed tint tUt) a; in wai for uso and hire, uot for breach of contract, bun no vee an i hire had been proved Mr Mid Jen then called Mr Buncimau win said there nras a contract, bit part of whiob had beau fu fi.led.
