Mr Alfred Bucklaud reports that at the Hay market, on Tuesday last, f.idder was inueual supply, and lower in price ; 3a 3 1 to 4» the cwt were the ruling pncf'S ; barley brought 3i 9a ; Canterbury rye gra°s, 4,' 9J ; raaizi*, 4s lOd ; black Tartarian oats. 3a 8d the bushel. Horse Block were short cf requirements, and those brought forward sold f reply, except lu-avy draught, which were dull 6f sale. Those sold were n.cdium draught mares, £36 ; light harne?B horses, £16 to £19 ; aged draught, £12 ; ponies, £5 to £12 s*. Mr Aithur reports fchut at his usual Weekly produce sale several lots of butter was offered, but the deuund was very limited. Canterbury bacon and hums were offered at lid per ll»., but Dot sold. No cheese entered. Butter sold at 7d to 14jd per lb ; b<n?on and hams, 5d to 1(M ; onions, Id to lid per lb ; potatoes, bs to 7s per cw*,; fftrrots, 3s 6d per cwt ; oat?, 3s 5d per bushel. At Mr Greenwood's sale of poultry, produce, and tarke} * (small), 2s 9d to 3s> 6d each ; turkeys ('arge), 3d 6d to 4,, 1M each ; fowls (laige) 2s 3d to 2s 9d each; fowls (small), Is 3 \ to 2« each; chickens, 9d to Is each ; ducks, 2a 3d to 2s lOd and 3a each ; Spanish fowls, Gs each ; onions, Id to lid per lb ; potatoes, £7 10s to £8 per lon. Mr A. Buekland announces that ho will sell ni the Remuera yards on Thursday, September 9, at 12 o clock, Well-bred store cattle and fat sheep, also on September 14, at (he Ohaupo Sale Yard-, al 12 o'clock, a herd of from 3 0 to 400 store cattle cf all classes, &tock-bred by J. 0. Firth, Esq., on the Mat* Matarun, and being the produce of first class short-horn Bu ! le, imported f-otn the best herds of Australia and Canter bu-y.
