PROPOSED REFORM LEAGUE.
Sir — Allow me to joia issue with you in congratulating ttoe settlers upon the firm stand they made at the meeting on the 16th iush, against the continuance of Provincial Governments, and to suggest the advisability of a Reform League being inaugurated with branches all over the country, for the purpose of eliciting and regulating public opinion upon the more important subjects for future 1 gislation. We all know and feel the necessity for improvements in every direction, and such a course as I indicate ia nob only calculated, I think, to conduce to the general welfare and advancement of the Colony, but would also check any tendency to class legislation, by preventing unfit candidates being elected to serve in the next Parliament, now <jlese at hand. — I am, etc.,
