Auckland, Friday evening. At the Produce Sales to-day, potatoes realised £7 per ton , common fowls, Is 9d to 2s 9d ; dorkings, 3s 3d ; geese, 4s 6d ; pumpkins, 8s Od per cwt.; butter, lOd to Is 2d; cheese, 9Jd to Is. — Mr William Oruickshank was to-day married to Amy Graham, daughter of Robert Graham. The shipping in town was alive with bunting. — A Dog and Poultry .Show takes place on the 10th and 11th of September. — John Hogan, milkman, was fined £5 to-day, for adulterating his milk with one-third water. All technical objections were over-ruled. — An InterProvincial pigeon shooting matsh, between Auckland ami Christchurch, it arranged to come off on November 9th — The captain of the Hawera offers to convey the Football Team round the colony for single fares. — Arrived : Hawera. Sailed : Phoebe, South.
Chiiistchuroh, Friday evening. The Rakaia district has pronounced in favor of Abolition.
Port Chalmers, Friday evening. In consequence of a recent decision in Court, the captains of vessels' in harbour have stopped unloading, until the railway authorities acknowledge their liability for the sound delivery of goods convoyed alon« the line. °
