RAGLAN. (From our own Correspondent.) A SUSPICIOUS OCCURRENCE.
On Friday morning T^st r abotit daybreak, at Ruapuke, just off Mrs Charlton's farm, between it and Gannett Island,^ small boa,t "was-*een going southward with the Binall sails set, as well as two oars, being smartly plied. Glasses were quickly brought to bear on her, and the general opinion Vaa thai she was bound for Kawhia ; but about mid-day she passed across the s entrances of both Aotea and Kawhia harbours, closely rounding Albatross point, and'passing out of sight. At the satae time a steamer appeared in view. Has any one in Auckland given their creditors the slip, if so, they must have had a long and dangerous trip to catch the steamer, supposing the occupants of the bxnt were bound for
