The propopt action of the Waikato S, N. Co. in putting on the Bluenoae to take up the passenger traffic yesterday has given general satisfaction. The railway works are being rapidly pushed on.' '1 here are manifold signs of improvement. Mercer is a busy place now. Business is good and rapidly improving, and the people are well satisfied with their prospects.
